We all know sketching is fundamental to the process of art and design. But when the focus is on interaction, how can sketching be made to serve that process? Our special guest, Peter Tascarella, will be guiding us through ways it can be incorporated into the design process and applied to interaction design.

Special Guest: Peter Tascarella
Peter Tascarella is currently a faculty member of the Art, Design and Multimedia Program at Lansing Community College. After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design he went on to Virginia Commonwealth University where he received his Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture. His thesis work focused on interactive sculpture and environments. As a faculty member at LCC in 2009, he developed an Interactive and Simulation Based Learning Center for the college. The center is focused on creating interactive content for use in classes across campus. The technologies currently being investigated range from stereoscopic 3D presentation to creating serious games. Currently he teaches courses in art and design, which includes a newly developed Interface Design course.
